Tokunbo Talabi is the President/CEO of Superflux International Limited the foremost security printing firm in Nigeria, providing specialist secure print solutions to Sub-Saharan Africa.
Prior to starting up Superflux, Tokunbo was a pioneer staff of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. During his 8-year stint, he served and headed various positions in the bank, such as Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, Corporate Services and Banking Operations.
Tokunbo left the bank in 1998 to fill the then pressing gap in the provision of high quality secure instruments. He has since grown Superflux from a 2-man trading company at inception to over 300 employees in a full fledge ultra modern manufacturing facility in Nigeria and has become the market leader and reliable service provider to major financial institutions, government agencies in Nigeria and its environs.
As part of business integration, in 2003 he set up Speedyprints Limited, a pioneering secure document management outsourcing concern and Papyrus Limited, a paper handling and envelope manufacturing company. A Ghana manufacturing subsidiary is also in operation.
In more recent times, Tokunbo has made strategic acquisitions and investments in several medium scale companies in agro-allied, steel manufacturing, logistics and real estate sectors; one of such acquisitions is Courierplus Services Limited which was acquired mid 2012.
Tokunbo is a prominent knowledge contributor, debater and international speaker. He serves on the board of several notable companies and committees and is a mentor some distinguished entrepreneurial initiatives including The FATE Foundation and Entrepreneurial Development Centre (EDC) of the Lagos Business School, Nigeria. He is a very active philanthropist with special focus in educational upliftment.
Tokunbo published his first book The Mind's Game in June 2012. The book catalogues his entrepreneurial journey with useful tips on how to venture into and succeed as an entrepreneur especially with the special challenging circumstances in Africa.
In 2008, Superflux International Limited competed and won the prestigious Legatum Pioneers of Prosperity Africa Awards as Grand Prize Winner aand in 2009, Tokunbo was honoured with the FATE Foundation Entrepreneur of the year Award.
He is the Vice President (South-West) of Nigerian Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (NASME) and an active supporter of the Chartered Institute of Nigerian Printers Association (CIPPON)
A Physiotherapy graduate from University of Ife, Nigeria, he obtained his MBA from University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is an alumni of the Lagos Business School. A native of Ogun State, Nigeria, Tokunbo is happily married with 3 children.
