Many have assumed this would be this case,
but Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt is being
advertised for the September 11th WWE
Backlash event in Richmond, Virginia.
Wyatt interrupted a classicly long-winded
Randy Orton talking segment last week on
WWE SmackDown Live, and the seeds seem
to have been sown for an eventual meeting
between The Viper and the Eater of Worlds.
Certain promotional material seems to agree,
so I would expect the match to be made
official tonight on SmackDown Live. Orton
vs. Wyatt should join Dean Ambrose vs. AJ
Styles for the WWE World Championship as
well as the final of the WWE SmackDown
Live Tag Tea Tournament.
The first ever SmackDown Women's
Champion will also be crowned on
September 11th, as SmackDown's entire
women's division (minus the suspended Eva
Marie) will face off in a six-pack challenge.
Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Alexa Bliss, Naomi,
Natalya and Carmella will battle to etch their
name in history and be the first to hold the
championship.
Elsewhere on SmackDown Live, Daniel Bryan
is going to respond to the fiery words of The
Miz tonight and surely set up a future
challenge for the current Intercontinental
Champion.
